Programs

              

AGI collects donations from the general public through Alternative Gift Markets and provides support to other charitable organizations that provide specific services for world relief and development. AGI conducts an annual fundraising campaign presenting humanitarian and environmental projects in a catalog and on its website. The organization reports that its most popular fundraising event is conducted when churches, schools, and communities host Alternative Gift Markets. AGI’s markets are held in the U.S and Canada and gifts are purchased in honor of family, friends, business associates and others. Aside from purchases made in person at the markets, shoppers also access the markets by email, phone, or letter. Some ($849,890 or 4%) of AGI's program activities are carried out in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
