Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) does not meet the following Standard for Charity Accountability.

Standard 13: Accuracy of Expenses in Financial Statements - Accurately report the charity's expenses, including any joint cost allocations, in its financial statements. For example, audited or unaudited statements which inaccurately claim zero fund raising expenses or otherwise understate the amount a charity spends on fund raising, and/or overstate the amount it spends on programs will not meet this standard.

RRCA does not meet this Standard because:

  • The organization allocates membership dues collection expenses to programs.

Programs

              

To help educate runners and leaders of its affiliate organizations, the RRCA has developed training programs, educational materials, and tip sheets on various topics related to runner safety and best practices in managing running clubs and events. The RRCA partners with organizations and sponsors to develop and promote educational and advocacy programs. The "Kids Run the Nation" program is a multi-week, gender neutral, youth running program designed for children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. "Kids Run the Nation Fund" assists running clubs, events, and schools that are interested in implementing or currently have a youth running program. This grant program is funded by restricted contributions from RRCA members, individuals, foundations, and corporations.
