Programs

              

LM’s major focuses are securing freedom from violence against women; obtaining equal pay and equal work; the health of women and girls; and building strong families and communities. LM has fought to break down barriers preventing women from participating as equal members in all aspects of society. The organization works to ensure girls’ access to equal educational opportunities (Title IX); protecting women’s right to equal employment opportunities (Title VII); and, increasing the amount of federal funding that is allocated to support services for domestic violence victims, through work on the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Some ($963,365 or 17%) of LM's program activities are carried out in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
