Programs

              

PPMD identifies, funds, and disseminates information about promising Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy research. PPMD also seeks to ensure that all families, caregivers, and health care professionals have access to information about treatment and care options for children with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy. PPMD holds an annual conference on Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy and also publishes newsletters to benefit the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy community. PPMD also holds annual legislative conferences in Washington, DC, to advocate for legislation that specifically addresses childhood muscular dystrophies. PPMD also collaborates with international organizations that address Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy by building connections between doctors and scientists around the world to ensure that significant research and care discoveries are shared quickly.
