Programs

              

Through job preparation and employment retention programs and services, DFS offers opportunities to low-income and disadvantaged women seeking to emerge from poverty. DFS’s suiting program provides work-appropriate clothing to low-income women seeking employment. Volunteer personal shoppers provide one-on-one assistance and guide clients through the selection process, making recommendations and educating them on workplace expectations. Professional Women’s Groups encourage economic independence and career development by providing a safe environment in which members can network with other women, build professional skills and learn how to advance in their jobs. The Professional Women's Group encourages economic independence by providing employed clients with a network of support, practical information, and the inspiration to achieve self-defined success in their career and life.
