Programs

              

CancerCare's program services include professional counseling and support groups, educational workshops and publications, financial assistance, and referrals to local services. Through its counseling and support program, the organization provides individual and group counseling face- to-face, on the telephone, or online. All support services are offered by professional oncology social workers. CancerCare’s financial assistance program provides funds for treatment-related costs such as homecare, transportation, pain medication, and childcare. Furthermore, through CancerCare’s telephone education workshops, cancer patients and their caregivers are provided with the opportunity to listen to and inquire from cancer experts around the country. Some ($130,447, or 3%) of CancerCare's information and publications programs are carried out in conjunction with fund raising efforts.
