Programs

              

AAFA produces newsletters, resource guides, and other publications on numerous asthma and allergy related topics. AAFA support groups link people who are grappling with the same struggles due to asthma and allergies. Specific types of groups sponsored include offerings for parents and caregivers, pre-teens and teens, adults, and families with food allergies. Through its Asthma Management and Education program, AAFA presents training seminars and offers online courses for nurses, respiratory therapists, and others in the health field on the most current treatments, techniques for teaching patients, and strategies for preventing attacks. In addition to providing coordination for its chapters, AAFA holds workshops on leadership, advocacy, service delivery, and other subject areas.
