Programs

ANERA's programs are in community and economic development, education, health, and public education. ANERA’s health service programs are in the form of donated medicines and medical supplies distributed to healthcare providers in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon. ANERA also extends grants for local health care institutions to upgrade facilities and funds a nutrition project that supplies preschoolers with snacks of fortified milk and enriched wafers. Along with micro-credit loans to farmers, fishermen, and small businesses for expansion of their operations, ANERA helps municipalities with costs of water, road, and other major upgrades in infrastructure. In the West Bank and Gaza, information technology centers funded by ANERA train university graduates, students, and business people in computer software and applications. Scholarships from ANERA pay for school expenses of handicapped, orphaned, and destitute children. Teaming with local partners, ANERA also builds and equips classrooms, libraries, and sports facilities, sponsors training opportunities for teachers, and offers support to institutions for after-school projects in music and the arts.
