Programs

              

PPFA is a sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate. The organization works with partner agencies worldwide to improve the sexual health and well-being of individuals and families. PPFA reports that it has 82 independent local affiliates that operate approximately 800 health centers throughout the United States, providing services to women, men, and teens. PPFA reports that it provides sexual and reproductive health care, education, and information to more than three million women and men in the United States annually. The organization also reports that health centers provide preventative services, including services that prevent unintended pregnancy, Pap tests, breast exams and other services in cancer detection. Other services provided by PPFA health centers include abortion services and tests and treatments for sexually transmitted disease. Some ($3,434,160 or 5%) of PPFA's program activities are carried out in conjunction with its fund raising appeals.
