Programs

              

GI provides information on sexual activity, contraception, abortion and childbearing, both in the United States and internationally. This involves a commitment to identifying key questions, collecting and analyzing data to answer these questions, and publishing the answers. It entails mining government data for new findings, surveying individuals, and interpreting the results of research and policy analysis with the objective of reaching new audiences. GI also participates in interviews with the media, testifies before federal and state legislative bodies and in court cases, and works with groups and individuals to provide information. GI publishes two peer-reviewed scientific journals, "Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health" and "International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health," as well as the public policy journal, "The Guttmacher Policy Review." GI also produces a series of special reports and issue briefs on topics pertaining to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
