Programs

              

The Association provides patient support and public policy advocacy. It also creates public awareness through its media campaign and by educating healthcare professionals to improve diagnosis, treatment as well as research. Furthermore, the Association educates individuals through its website, its quarterly magazine titled "CFIDS Chronicle", and an electronic newsletter, "CFIDSLink". The Association also publishes the semi-annual "CFS Research Review", which contains interviews with leaders in the field and highlights advances in diagnosis and management strategies. The Association also funds grants for studies related to CFS that investigate its possible causes, potential diagnostic markers, development of efficacious treatments, and trends and patterns linked to its epidemiology, natural history and pathophysiology in adolescents and children. In addition, through ongoing dialogues and partnerships with policy makers and agency officials at the federal government level, the Association aims to represent the healthcare concerns and medical research interests of people with CFIDS.
