Programs

              

CVT helps equip healthcare and human services personnel, refugees and resettlement works, educators, students, attorneys, and immigration officials to recognize the effects and respond to the needs of survivors of torture and war trauma. CVT also provides therapeutic and rehabilitative services for both individuals and families to promote the recovery and healing process from torture. With other human rights, religious, labor, business, media and civic organizations, CVT raises awareness among policy makers and society about the intent and extent of torture and the need for expanded resources in support of care initiatives for survivors. CVT also conducts studies on the long term effects of torture and the effectiveness of treatment methodologies.
