Programs

              

ADA reports funding research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes and its complications; deliver services to communities across the United States; provide objective and credible information through multiple media and channels; and stay involved with advocacy and awareness efforts to educate people about the disease and to give a voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. ADA provides the public and health care professionals with information to help take a stand against diabetes. It does this through its National Call Center (1-800-DIABETES) and its website as well as monthly consumer and professional books and periodicals. Some ($11,025,000 or 25%) of ADA's advocacy and public awareness program activity is carried out in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
