Programs

              

SCF funds environmental projects which fall into the three general categories of public education, litigation, and training. The organization uses these three categories to promote clean water, educate the public on the connection between population and the environment, protect forest and wildlands, stop sprawl, encourage responsible trade and stop global warming. SCF offers its services in receiving, administering, and disbursing funds for tax-exempt charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes both to the Sierra Club and to other environmental organizations by acting as a fiscal sponsor. In addition, SCF lends support to local projects of the many chapters and groups of the Sierra Club located across the United States.
