Programs

              

RAN is an environmental group that campaigns to protect the world’s remaining rainforests and climate. RAN focuses its attention on market activism, helping companies to become environmental leaders both through collaboration and through market campaigns. RAN campaigns on issues such as saving the Indonesian rainforest, stopping mountaintop coal mining removal in Appalachia, halting the Canadian tar sands project, and making Chevron pay for its actions in Ecuador. Some ($128,203 or 4%) of RAN's program activities are carried out in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
