Programs

              

GC aims to conserve the Galapagos ecosystems and work towards a balance between human society and nature. The organization designs and funds science and conservation management projects; creates and supports local partnerships and community efforts that care for and respect the sustainable and thoughtful use of local resources; and supports social science and policy research to address the human impact in wilderness. GC provides information to the public, decision makers, and the international scientific community through research papers, annual reports, information on its website, and public presentations and lectures. The organization aims to raise awareness about Galapagos conservation and the associated threats and challenges; leverage maximum local benefit from focused and efficient use of charitable dollars, and target a range of investments in social and natural sciences to create lasting conservation in these islands.
