Programs

NCLD programs connect parents with resources, guidance and support; deliver evidence-based tools, resources and professional development to educators; and develop policies and engage advocates to strengthen educational rights and opportunities. The RTI Action Network supports educators in implementing a Response to Intervention (RTI) to identify struggling learners early and provide them with interventions they need. The RTI Leadership Network supports school leaders in the implementation of RTI. Each participant is coached and mentored on how to get results for improved student achievement. The participants also become a part of an online community to share ideas, discuss resources, and brainstorm solutions. NCLD's Parents as Advocates program provides parents information and resources they need to be advocates for their children. NCLD's websites, online and print newsletters and online talks, webinars and forums provide parents, educators, other advocates, and the media with information including a resource locator for services, information on the legal rights of individuals with LD, fact sheets, resource lists, and podcasts.
