Programs

LLP creates and catalogues book collections in the U.S. through the support of community and educational centers and ships them as a shelf-ready 4,000-volume collection to indigenously-styled library compounds, built to LLP’s design specifications. The libraries partner with local social service agencies, including street children’s shelters and orphanages. In line with this, they are housed in structures designed to provide a profound, safe and welcoming space. The target group is vulnerable African boys and girls and young adults of both genders from ages 5 to 18, in both rural and urban areas.

For the year ended December 31, 2009, LLP's program expenses were:

Program services 251,327
