Programs

              

HAC's teacher training program requires candidates to master critical teaching competencies while gaining classroom experience. HAC reports that the organization introduced computer education into Afghan classrooms and that more than 37,000 girls and boys have gained computer literacy skills and opportunities to secure jobs in Afghanistan's emerging information technology marketplace. The organization’s peace and environmental education programs give children the experience of looking at their world in new ways and taking personal responsibility for caring for their local environment and resolving conflicts non-violently. HAC’s Read Afghanistan literacy program uses originally-written, illustrated bi-lingual storybooks that are improving literacy levels among enrolled children. HAC also delivers medicines, blankets, clothing, food, and other supplies.
