Programs

PTPI offers programs dealing with educational and cultural awareness of other countries to both adults and students around the world. PTPI programs educate participants through special projects which correspond with specific ages and levels of ability. Individuals may travel abroad to meet with their peers in other countries or participate in camps and conferences designed to promote cross-cultural understanding. The Global Peace Initiative and Peace Camp are companion adventures that offer both adults and students the opportunity to engage in personal diplomacy in another country. The Global Youth Forum is an annual event for students ages 13-18 that explores various cultural perspectives and skills. Ambassador Programs offer scientific, technical and professional exchanges that bring delegates together with their overseas counterparts in prearranged activities. Both sides engage in face-to-face contacts during which information, ideas, and experiences are shared. These exchanges include a variety of fields including medicine, education, social sciences, science and technology, law, arts, agriculture, business, and culture. PTPI’s Global Landmine Initiative sponsors de-mining teams working abroad to eradicate landmines.
