Evaluation Conclusions

              

National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (National SAVE) does not meet the following Standard for Charity Accountability.

Standard 3: Frequency and Attendance of Board Meetings - An organization shall have a minimum of three evenly spaced meetings per year of the full governing body with a majority in attendance, with face-to-face participation. A conference call of the full board can substitute for one of the three meetings of the governing body. For all meetings, alternative modes of participation are acceptable for those with physical disabilities.

National SAVE does not meet this Standard because:

  • The board of directors held one in-person board meeting during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010.

Programs

              

National SAVE engages students in violence prevention efforts within their school and community. The organization aims to empower youth with knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to their community and school. National SAVE encourages positive peer influences within the school and community through violence prevention efforts. The organization educates students about the effects and consequences of violence as well as safe activities for students, parents, and the community.
