Young Survival Coalition (YSC) does not meet the following 2 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 16: Annual Report - Have an annual report available to all, on request, that includes: (a) the organization's mission statement, (b) a summary of the past year's program service accomplishments, (c) a roster of the officers and members of the board of directors, (d) financial information that includes (i) total income in the past fiscal year, (ii) expenses in the same program, fund raising and administrative categories as in the financial statements, and (iii) ending net assets.

YSC does not meet this Standard because:

  • YSC has not completed an annual report for 2009.

Programs

              

YSC’s educational programs are designed to reach young women affected by breast cancer as well as members of the medical community, friends, family members, caregivers, the breast health community, healthy young women and the general public. Programming includes Interactive supportive services including networking groups and survivor socials; YSC website for and about young women affected by breast cancer; the annual conference for young women affected by breast cancer which addresses concerns and issues faced by young women affected by breast cancer; ResourceLink which is an email and toll-free phone line for people with questions or in need of information; SurvivorLink which is a program that matches women newly diagnosed with breast cancer with peer volunteers who share a similar diagnosis; Young Perspectives teleconferences a national forum that addresses issues critical to young women affected by breast cancer; MetsLink for young women living with metastatic cancer; and newly diagnosed resource kits a resource providing newly diagnosed patients with practical information and local resources specific to young women.
