CFCF funds research in pursuit of cures for carcinoid cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine and related neuroendocrine cancers. Currently, CFCF is funding two genome projects: one for carcinoid tumors and one for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors; developing a multi-institutional biobank; and creating mouse models. Along with its focus on research, CFCF also works to eliminate the suffering of patients, families, and caregivers affected by neuroendocrine tumors. To help patients, CFCF provides free resources including a searchable neuroendocrine tumor-focused clinical trials finder, an electronic newsletter, information about carcinoid and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors and the available treatments as well as regional education conferences with expert clinicians and researchers.
