Programs

              

AMC funded scientists at the University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC) study how and why healthy cells become cancerous, with the aim of identifying and pioneering biofeedback assessment tools to isolate individual risk factors. Projects also evaluate, examine and aid in the development of pharmaceutical agents for clinical application in the treatment of cancer. In striving to teach people how to lower their risk for contracting cancer, UCCC also performs research focusing on lifestyle and behavior modification through education, outreach, and support strategies for patients and families. In conjunction with UCCC, AMC operates a toll-free Cancer Information and Counseling Line.
