Programs

              

IEF works with ministries of health, NGOs and individual eye care institutions in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Public health initiatives target childhood blindness worldwide and river blindness (Onchocerciasis) in Africa. IEF's SightReach® Management program focuses on raising the standard of ophthalmic and optometric care within partner eye care institutions targeting cataract and refractive error, and building organizational and financial sustainability. IEF works with a network of 24 institutions in 15 countries. SightReach Surgical® (SRS), IEF’s social enterprise program, offers ophthalmic medical and surgical products at below market prices to lower the cost of providing eye care in developing countries. SRS provides procurement consulting and advisory services to NGO partners and eye care providers in over 180 countries.
