Programs

              

STC provides care to chimpanzees rescued from research and exploitation. STC currently cares for chimpanzees at two locations; a temporary sanctuary within a former biomedical research lab located in Alamogordo, New Mexico, and at a sanctuary located in Fort Pierce, Florida. The Fort Pierce sanctuary provides living space for chimpanzees, and provides staff with the ability to safely respond to the physical and emotional needs of a large population of chimpanzees.
