Programs

              

RedRover provides emergency animal sheltering and disaster relief services, advocates for the critical needs of animals and works to strengthen the bond between people and animals. Through its volunteer-driven RedRover Responders program, formerly the Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS), RedRover shelters and cares for animals displaced by natural disasters and reconnects them with their owners. The organization also provides shelter and care for animals rescued from puppy mills, hoarding cases and other significant abuse situations. RedRover Relief, formerly the LifeLine Grant Program, provides guidance and financial assistance to pet owners and animal rescuers to help them obtain urgent veterinary care. The organization reports that RedRover Readers, formerly Humane Education Ambassador Readers (HEAR), works to help children explore the bond between people and animals through stories and discussion. RedRover Reporters, now including My Dog is Cool, encourages people to watch for and report situations of abuse and neglect. Some ($155,780 or 15%) of RedRover's program activities are carried out in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
