Programs

              

PRC provides permanent refuge, including food, shelter, medical care and social housing for animals facing destruction or exploitation. PRC also provides staff assistance, equipment and transportation to ensure that animals destined for other sanctuaries are moved quickly, safely and humanely. The organization’s educational programs are designed to encourage compassion for all species, especially in children, and to teach about primate behavior, exploitation and rehabilitation. PRC hosts an on-site volunteer program for local residents, hosts lectures and workshops for students of all ages, and provides internships for university students from across the country and overseas. The organization’s newsletter is designed to inform readers about primate-related issues as PRC networks with other animal advocacy groups to maintain records on the whereabouts of captive primates and strives to make public any information regarding specific cases of primate abuse.
