Programs

              

ARF's Rescue Patrol visits public shelters weekly where dogs and cats are scheduled to be killed and brings them to its facility. At ARF, these animals are given medical care, spay/neuter surgeries, and then ARF finds them homes. ARF's People Connect division provides programs that strengthen the human-animal bond for the elderly, residents of assisted living centers, teens living at juvenile hall, high school and grade school students and young children. ARF's Learning Center is an interactive museum for children connected to its animal adoption center. Some ($360,581, or 10%) of the amount reported as program services represents donated goods and services, and is also recognized in its financial statements as a source of revenue. Some ($129,464, or 4%) of ARF's programs are conducted in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
