Programs

Each woman that visits Dress for Success Louisville receives at least one business suit, shoes, hosiery, and professional accessories for her job interview. Agecny volunteers called “Personal Shoppers” give each client the one-on-one attention needed to boost their confidence. Clients come to Dress for Success® Louisville by referral only from a diverse group of social service agencies and non-profit organizations including job training programs, domestic violence and homeless shelters. All clients are then invited back to select a weeks worth of clothing after they have been hired. Each client is helped with wardrobe building and given advice on how to mix and match clothing during the workweek. After receiving their weeks worth of clothing, clients are invited to join the Professional Women’s Group, which is a job retention and career development program. The PWG is a networking program focused on helping the agency's clients advance in the workplace and achieve economic independence. PWG members attend monthly meetings and hear from experts on a range of topics related to professional development. Participants also have the opportunity to network with each other and community leaders.
