Programs

              

Dress for Success Louisville (DFSL) is life-changing. Programming is provided under the umbrella of the Career Transformation Center and there’s no charge to clients for their participation. Programming options include: Suits to Success provides each client with a career suit, cosmetics, footwear, accessories as well as positive reinforcement and a boost of confidence. Each client works with a highly trained personal shopper who helps her select her apparel. Once the client is employed, she returns to DFSL for a full week’s worth of professional attire. Professional Women’s Group (PWG) promotes employment retention and career advancement for successfully employed DFSL women by providing a network of support, practical information and inspiration to remain employed so they can truly thrive. Sessions are offered monthly on a variety of career development topics. In addition to an expert speaker, PWG members are provided networking opportunities. Programming focuses on five pillars: work/life balance; written and unwritten rules of the work place; financial responsibility; health and wellness; and leadership and civic duty. Workforce Readiness helps DFSL’s un/under-employed women gain professional skills, accelerate their job searches and build confidence through weekly training sessions, one-on-one career coaching and networking in a supportive environment. In addition DFSL offers a Career Center (resumes, mock interviews, job search, etc.), Financial Literacy and Computer Literacy. Since suiting our first client in 2000, DFSL has served over 15,000 women in 13 counties.
