Programs

              

Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana is the only non-profit organization whose sole purpose is serving people with Parkinson's disease in 45 counties in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Among our many programs and services, we: Support research for a cure and effective therapies for Parkinson’s disease, primarily at a local level Educate the public about Parkinson’s disease Provide printed and electronic resources for better living with Parkinson’s disease Coordinate and nurture neighborhood-based support and exercise groups Conduct regular educational workshops, featuring leading medical experts, for people living with Parkinson’s disease Host an annual, regional Symposium on Parkinson's disease Provide a lending Library of books, DVD’s and other free information resources Provide one-on-one counseling to people newly diagnosed and others with Parkinson’s. Conduct specialized training for healthcare and senior care professionals, and to individuals/families, to ensure higher level of care. Provide community awareness talks to civic, business and religious organizations.
