Stated Purpose: Adelante Hispanic Achievers (Adelante) was incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity in 2004 with a mission to provide opportunities for Hispanic youth and their families to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to function cross-culturally and to contribute to society as informed and pro-active citizens. Adelante is the only organization in Jefferson County and Kentucky dedicated to empowering Hispanic/Latino youth through educational and mentoring programs.

Programs

               

Programs and services include Mentoring and Enrichment: Saturday presentations, workshops and field trips which provide academic support, life skills development, and career exposure for students and families.--- After School Tutoring and Homework Help: offered twice weekly from 2:30-5 pm at Olmsted Academy North and Thomas Jefferson Middle School. --- Academic Placement and College Readiness: individual and group study skills, ACT preparation, shadowing opportunities, summer "bridge" programs, etc. --- Parent Involvement: individual and group sessions.
