Programs

              

Since 1946 the Houston Golf Association (HGA) has brought professional and amateur golf events to the Greater Houston Area. The HGA ensures that funds generated by the Shell Houston Open are put to work locally so that the proceeds of its PGA TOUR event directly impacts the local community. In 2014, 600 youth participated in 50 Junior Golf events. The First Tee of Greater Houston program is offered in 312 elementary schools in 18 Houston metropolitan area school districts and at the David Shindeldecker Campus in Humble, Houston Oaks Golf Club and Family Retreat and Quail Valley Golf Course, with participation from over 100,000 children per year.
