Programs

              

The Fort Bend County Women's Center, Inc. helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children with services that help them live violence-free, away from their batterers and abusers. Aside from providing emergency shelter, their services include counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy (including legal advocacy and accompaniment to court), case management, financial assistance when appropriate, transportation (emergency and other), job training and life skills classes, information and referrals to other social services agencies, GED/ESL classes, referrals into scholarship programs, rental assistance, a Children's Program (counseling, evaluations, tutoring, mentoring, etc.), and an Aftercare Program to assist clients once they leave the shelter. Services are available to both resident and non-resident clients. In almost 30 years of serving the community, the Fort Bend County Women's Center has helped more than 26,000 women and children achieve violence-free lifestyles.
