Programs

              

The YMCA of Greater Houston is committed to improving the quality of life through programs and services which provide opportunities for people to reach their highest potential, develop a positive attitude of self and others, appreciate good health and fitness, acquire a value system, and maintain spiritual awareness. The YMCA is composed of 38 centers, 3 resident camps, and 281 childcare sites located throughout the Greater Houston Area. Specific services include the following: Aquatics, Camping, Child care, Health & Wellness, Youth Sports and Leadership, Teens, Families, International Programs, Residence Services, Refugee Resettlement and Case Management. In 2009, YMCA's membership bases consisted of 296,025 facility members and 278,993 program members. Outreach programs served 107,238 people. YMCA served 192,797 children in programs ranging from after school enrichment, aquatic safety lessons, resident camp, health, wellness and more.
