Programs

              

Vita-Living, Inc. provides the following programs and services to the community: Home and Community-based Services (HCS, MRLA), Residential Services, Intermediate Care Facilities - Mental Retardation (ICF-MR), and Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS). Home and Community-based Services (HCS, MRLA): This program helps people remain a part of their community by serving them in their family homes or in their own residence. Currently, individuals are supported in 15 group home settings, 25 foster/companion care homes or with supported living services in their own homes. Services and supports are provided to individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental retardation, but the majority of people served in this program have additional disabilities, such as cerebral palsy or autism, or they may have significant medical needs or have a mental illness diagnosis. Residential Services, Intermediate Care Facilities - Mental Retardation (ICF-MR): Vita-Living operates three group homes that provide around-the-clock personal supports designed to promote positive behaviors in a homelike setting for adults who have severe and profound levels of mental retardation and related conditions, such as autism. Six individuals live together in each group home where they learn self-help and socialization skills. Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS): Vita-Living's CLASS program provides case management services to individuals with "related conditions," which include developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, head and spinal cord injuries, and muscular dystrophy. Vita-Living, Inc. currently serves more than 450 people.
