Programs

              

SER Jobs For Progress has programs for seniors, for people with disabilities, for youth, for adults, and for people affected by Hurricane Ike. Services also include an employment and training program. SER’s successes in 2012 included: o Prepared more than 300 low-income seniors (55 and older) with on-the-job training to re-enter the workforce; o Served 395 youth and young adults (17-24 years of age) with career exploration, training in a high skill, high growth occupation, summer jobs, and educational support services (including GED attainment); o Supported 276 people on the road to financial independence through our bundled financial services; o Expanded our capacity to serve veterans with specialized services aimed at successfully transitioning service men and women into the civilian workforce; o Created 6 microenterprises and expanded 5 existing small business via our small business development services; o Provided more than 600 people with Job Readiness training; and, Served more than 2,000 individuals overall with the education, training, and employment services needed to transform their lives…one job at a time.
