Programs

              

Jewish Family Service has the following programs: Counseling Services - Providing affordable, professional counseling to children, teens, adults, couples and families to support their mental and social well-being. In 2010, they served over 3,500 individuals. Senior Adult Services - Helping seniors maintain the highest possible level of independence through home visits and case management. Providing guidance for adult children to understand, plan and participate in their parents' transition. In 2010, almost 3,000 individuals received information and personal services. Chaplaincy Services - Providing Jewish spiritual comfort, counseling, and care to patients and their families at Texas Medical Center and surrounding area. Providing Jewish spiritual end-of-life care to patients enrolled in local hospices. In 2010, they had over 12,000 pastoral contacts. Disability Services - Enriching and empowering individuals with disabilities and their families through professional services, education, employment, counseling and social opportunities. Working to create a more inclusive community though partnerships with related agencies. Outreach Services - Offering professional consultations for schools, presenting workshops, and cultrual sensitivity training for health providers, offering domestic violence preventive programs, providing emergency financial aid, presenting life education programs and serving as emergency responders. Over 250 family units (1,000+ individuals) received financial assistance in 2010. Employment Services - Providing networking, workshops and counseling to community members seeking employment. In 2010, over 300 clients utilized our Job Bank. Volunteer Services - Men, women & teens generously give their time, energy and experience to help isolated seniors, people with disabilities and others. In 2010 270 volunteers donated over 6,500 hours of service.
