Programs

              

3 "A" Bereavement Foundation provides the following programs and services: Bereaved Family Assistance Fund, Family Support Services, Counseling Services, Crime Victim Services and Educational Workshops for the Community. Bereaved Family Assistance Fund: Direct funding assistance to offset funeral and burial expenses. Family Support Services: Accompanying and advising families through all aspects of preparing for the funeral and burial, from the initial point of contact through the completion of all services. Counseling Services: Providing individual and group professional counseling to bereaved families for up to one year from the date of referral. Crime Victim Services: Filing of Compensation Claims and Appeals for families of crime victims in order to avoid unnecessary delays. Educational Workshops for the Community: Workshops and seminars to assist low-income community residents in making preparations for themselves and loved ones. In 2009, 3 "A" Bereavement Foundation served 527 families and approximately 2,108 individuals.
