Programs

              

The Mark Kilroy Foundation operates and maintains the following programs: Mark Kilroy Scholarship Foundation: $2,000 over four years is awarded to two graduating seniors each year; one at Santa Fe High School and one at Hitchcock High School. At present, there are 7 qualifying recipients. S.A.F.E. Program (Partnership with Santa Fe and Hitchcock Independent School Districts and the City of Santa Fe): in 2008, Program Counselors served more than 800 students in grades 1st through 12th during the school year through curriculum based support groups, life skills classes, and alternative classes to increase coping, social, and resiliency skills. Individual evaluations and referrals were made in cooperation with Family Service Center of Galveston County. S.A.F.E. Summer Camp, Golf, and Tennis Clinics: Their summer Camp consisted of four one-week themed sessions, which included educational and fun presentations, crafts, games, and field trips. Golf and Tennis Clinics provided free weekly instruction and practice at the Santa Fe ISD school grounds and tennis courts during the summer. During the school year, over 800 youth were served. Over 600 young people attended S.A.F.E. summer activities in 2010.
