Stated Purpose: The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, literary and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(cX3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue law(the "Code"). No substantial part of the activities of the Corporation shall be carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the Corporation shall not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements) any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. In accordance with the purposes set forth in this Article 4, the Corporation shall perform activities that lessen the burdens of government of the City of Houston, Texas, which may include: (a) Developing and implementing a public relations and Celebrate the ethnic diversity of the City of Houston and the surrounding area, such as the Latin Grammy Awards (the "Special Events"); (b) Providing oversight and administration for the Sports Campaign and the Special Events; (c) Cultivating, promoting, fostering, sponsoring, and developing public and private resources for the implementation of the Sports Campaign and the Special Events; (d) Cultivating, promoting, fostering, sponsoring, and developing among the general public an appreciation and understanding of the business, economic, educational, social, and cultural advantages of conducting major professional and amateur sporting events, as well as certain special events in the City of Houston and the surrounding region; (e) Acting in furtherance of attracting nationally bid sporting and tourism events and special events to the City of Houston and the surrounding region.
