Houston Area Urban League offers the following services: Housing and Social, Education Support, Facility, Health Initiatives, Workforce Development, Economic Development, and Workforce Training. During 2009, Houston Area Urban League served 4,991 children ages 2 to 10 in reading workshops. 1,837 clients received job coaching. 14,768 people received phone counseling and referrals regarding housing. 645 displaced workers received temporary assistance for their families.
