Programs

              

Texas Center for the Missing provides missing child prevention and education programs to children, parents and caregivers; administers the Amber Alert in the 14-county Houston-Galveston region; provides Alzheimer's Wandering Prevention and Recovery programs; trains law enforcement in issuing Amber Alerts and recovering missing children; organizes searches for missing children and vulnerable elderly; and provides case management to the family during and after the search for the missing loved one. In 2011, 15,956 people were served.
