Programs

              

Spaulding for Children builds and sustains strong, nurturing families for children who have endured abuse, neglect or abandonment. Services provided by the Organization include foster care for children who are waiting permanent placement; recruitment of adoptive families; education for adoptive families; adoptive placement activities; supervision of adoptive families; active parent support groups; and post adoption services such as individual, family and group therapy, respite care, day treatment and residential treatment. FOSTER CARE: In 2013, Spaulding for Children provided 21,120 days of care for 120 children in the Greater Houston area; 23 children were adopted by their foster parents through Spaulding for Children. SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTION: In 2013, Spaulding for Children placed 69 children in permanent families; 68 children officially became part of their "forever families" when their adoptions were finalized. POST ADOPTION: In 2013, Spaulding for Children provided post adoption services to 418 children and 2,983 hours of case management services.
