Programs

              

The purpose of Covenant House Texas is to offer children sanctuary from the dangers of street life and abuse and to provide them with the necessary skills, training, and emotional support that will enable them to choose workable life alternatives. CHT carries out this mission by offering walk-in services, a crisis shelter, free medical care, case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, educational and vocational training, life skills training, a transitional living program, an apartment living program, voluntary spiritual guidance, street outreach, a runaway prevention program and aftercare services. During fiscal year 2010 CHT served 4,886 unduplicated youth through its various programs and services. All services to youth are free.
