Evaluation Conclusions

Several Dancers Core does not meet the following 3 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 3: Frequency and Attendance of Board Meetings - An organization shall have a minimum of three evenly spaced meetings per year of the full governing body with a majority in attendance, with face-to-face participation. A conference call of the full board can substitute for one of the three meetings of the governing body. For all meetings, alternative modes of participation are acceptable for those with physical disabilities.

Several Dancers Core does not meet this Standard because the average of three best attended board meetings is less than 50%.

Standard 4: Compensated Board Members - Not more than one or 10% (whichever is greater) directly or indirectly compensated person(s) serving as voting member(s) of the board. Compensated members shall not serve as the board's chair or treasurer.

Several Dancers Core does not meet this Standard because more than 10% of the board is directy or indirectly compensated.

Charity Response:

CORE is unable to meet the Non-Compliance of Standards 3 and 4 due to our current process of re-structuring our Board of Directors which we expect to be complete at the end of our fiscal year in June 2012.

Standard 8: Program Service Expense Ratio - Spend at least 65% of its total expenses on program activities.

Several Dancers Core does not meet Standard 8 because it did not spend at least 65% of expenses on program activities according to the audit ended June 30, 2010.

Charity Response:

CORE is unable to meet the Non-Compliance of Standard 8 until we have completed our FY11 Audit which is in process. At this time we will allocate dancers’ salaries according to BBB recommendations which will enable us to comply.

Several Dancers Core meets the remaining 17 Standards for Charity Accountability.
