The San Jacinto Museum of History Association is a non-profit education organization that focuses on collecting and preserving significant historical materials that relate to the early history and culture of Texas, and it also promotes the study of the history of Texas through exhibits, publications, and educational programs. The Museum places special significance on interpreting the Texas Revolution and the Battle of San Jacinto, the period of the Republic of Texas, and the San Jacinto Battleground. On average, approximately 250,000 guests and 40,000 students visit the Museum each year.
