The Houston Human Society maintains and operates the following programs: Animal Adoptions, Education, Animal cruelty investigations, Low-cost wellness clinic with $30 spay/neuter surgeries, a Public pet cemetery, and accepts all animals to its animal shelter. The Houston Humane Society cares for more than 47,000 dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, and livestock each year.
