Programs

              

CAP promotes a variety of programs stressing both the moral and the practical need for public concern in the area of animal protection. We promote responsible pet guardianship including the importance of spay/neuter to reduce the animal overpopulation crisis. In 2013, CAP adopted 5,175 animals into new homes, reunited 527 lost pets with families, transferred 168 animals to adoption partners and trapped/neutered/returned 2,954 feral cats to their community colonies. Additionally, CAP provided humane education to 29,645 children and adults. The Education Program includes speaking at schools, special interest groups, conferences and seminars. Other programs include Foster Homes for sick/injured or young animals, Volunteer Program, Pet Assisted Therapy Program and Lost and Found services.
