The Food Bank for Larimer County provides food to those in need through three programs. Food Share provides food to individuals and families; it is the largest single fresh food, direct service pantry in the county. In FY 2012, over 30,000 individuals were served through the Food Share sites in Fort Collins and Loveland. Food Link allows over 70 local non-profits to get food for their clients. 1.35 million pounds of food were distributed to local agencies in FY 2012. The Kids Cafe program includes prepared meals, snacks, and food for the weekends through the Backpack program. In FY 2012, this program provided over 73,000 meals, nearly 59,000 healthy snacks, and more than 15,000 backpacks to children in need. In FY 2012, 44.8% of the total food distributed came from local sources, and 3.025 million pounds of fresh produce (37% of the total) were provided.
